DeNOx SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) and SNCR (Selective Non-Catalytic Reduction) systems are advanced technologies designed to effectively reduce nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions in industrial processes.
DeNOx SCR and SNCR Systems: features and benefits offered
Principle of Operation of DeNOx SCR and SNCR Systems
SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction)
In this process, a reducing agent (ammonia or urea) is injected into the exhaust gas and, passing through a specific catalyst, converts NOx to nitrogen (N₂) and water vapor (H₂O).
SNCR (Selective Non-Catalytic Reduction)
Unlike the SCR system, this process does not use a catalyst. The reducing agent is injected directly into the combustion chamber at high temperatures, causing the chemical reaction that transforms NOx into nitrogen (N₂) and water vapor (H₂O).
Typical applications and target sectors
